Rooftops have always captured my attention like these in Florence, Italy (above). Maybe it’s the expression “a roof over your head.” Perhaps it’s that you know underneath is a home or business. A rooftop represents not only shelter, but people to me.
Kiev, Ukraine.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
Barcelona, Spain.
The Rocks, Sydney, Australia.
St. Maarten, Caribbean Islands.
Sevilla, Spain.
Leiden, The Netherlands.
Pest (of Budapest), Hungary.
Monaco.
Salida, CO, USA
Paris, France.
These last three photos were taken in Paris. To be honest, I think “The City of Lights” has the best rooftops. (above and the last two photos.)
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. What a great idea for a post Stef! X
Thanks so much Lottie — I seem to be really consistent with taking photos. When I was paging through my albums I kept coming across the same theme of rooftops. So here they are! 🙂
I love the last one, Steph. You can barely see the Eiffel Tower in the distance, but it still commands attention.
Thanks, Julie — I had to include that one even though it’s a pretty faded looking photo. I’m thrilled that you say it “commands attention!” Honestly, I love looking at Paris from a rooftop perspective. Thanks again for your comment! 🙂
