Hosier Lane, Melbourne, Australia. Color and travel go together since we are always looking for something striking to catch our eyes. I took the photo above of my sister, Suzanne, and the the next two photos of rubbish bins while meandering down the famous graffiti alley, Hosier Lane.

The Sea Center, Santa Barbara, CA, USA. I could zen out by watching jellyfish all day. There is something very calming about following their flowy movements.

Salida, CO, USA. Notice the kayaks along the brick wall toward the left of the photo (above). The kayak wall photo (below) has become the postcard image of Salida. I also like the broader view, too, with the rest of the building and its details like the pink trim and old school “Capricorn Sports” mural.

The House of India, Santa Barbara, CA, USA. Some day I’ll get to the real India for an explosion of color and sensory details. Until then, here is a scene from my favorite Indian restaurant.
Monarch Mountain, CO, USA. Look out for the “Lemonheads,” Salida’s ski racing team. These kids (ages 7 through 13) are some of the fastest skiers on the mountain. All you’ll see is a yellow ribbon streaming down the runs.

Those bikes are adorable!
Thanks, Jo! Yes, and these were just a few of the cute “townie” bikes around Salida. Thanks again for your comment — Cheers!
That’s what I thought exactly. They are great, I wanna have one of them 😉 By the way: great pics steph!
Thanks, Anna! I know aren’t the townies cool. It’s pretty much the preferred mode of transportation in the town where I live. Cheers!
These photos are awesome Steph! I think we need a graffiti alley for Salida – add to our art scene!
I LOVE this idea, Sheree! Yes — we totally need a graffiti alley. I can think of a couple of alleys that might work. I bet some of the local businesses would be into this, too. Thanks for commenting and great idea!
Great Pictures keep them coming.
Dad
Thanks, Dad — definitely! I could see some cool shots from Cuba in this collection.
Love you and thanks for the comment! 🙂
Nice travel photography Steph! You love colors, don’t you! Do take a trip to India and let me know when you are here Steph, we’ll go photographing together 🙂
You’re right on, Uday — I do love colors. That would be fantastic to take photos with you in India! I know I would learn a lot from you — especially about taking human interest photos of people.
Anytime Steph!
Thanks, Uday!
Great photos! I especially liked the ones of Melbourne.
Thanks, Evie! I felt like I was cheating by taking the photos of Melbourne. Really, I just had to point and shoot. The graffiti is so vibrant that some of the color is bound to show up in the photos. Glad you liked them! Cheers — Steph 🙂
Beautiful dear…as always you bring so much color and beauty to the post..thansk for sharing…nice theme btw
Kavita, thank you so much for your kind words! You always give me such positive feedback. I greatly appreciate it! Cheers 🙂

Kavita — you are so thoughtful. Your comments always make my day!
I took a photo of that same graffiti about two weeks ago, how funny, in the first image.
How cool, Leanne! Hosier Lane is such a great place to roam and take photos. In fact, I saw I photographer taking pictures of a model in the alley. This really makes me want to come to Melbourne again so I can hang out with you and take photos (or watch you take photos and I would take notes!) Cheers 🙂
